The Democrats aren't to blame for this. Democrats wanted to separate the funding for ICE out of the rest of the funding bill, which they were more than willing to pass, and Republicans refused. The lack of funding is on Republicans, not Democrats.

Alt18F@alt18f.bsky.social · 6mo agoAn independent agency, the MSPB exists to help protect the civil service against partisan interference. So it’s no surprise that the administration is attempting to remove certain appeals from the MSPB’s jurisdiction—again under the guise of “efficiency.”
DOS has a very complex evacuation system (well they did pre-DOGE) but if they don’t have the staff and funding, the evacuation machine just doesn’t run well.
