If your language doesn't ship a package manager what you're effectively saying, whether you like it or not, is that users ought to vibe code their dependencies

One very annoying thing is that the players on the USA Olympic women’s hockey team are only being listed as “USA Olympian”, not “Olympian and Boston Fleet D” or whatever.

Random theory as I’m waiting for my CI/CD to complete - people who are bullish on LLMs replacing engineering (and are engineers themselves) haven’t actually worked with good younger engineers. LLMs can be great tools, but they still don’t replace humans (and, imo, never will).

Happy Pride Providence!!🌈 We are proud to be a queer led movement fueled by a powerful LGBTQ community that uplifts the voices of all, centering equity and inclusivity in our work 💪🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

A group of people, many wearing colorful rainbows and fun outfits for Pride, are gathered and smiling for the camera on a two-way separated bike path. Trees and a brick mill building are seen under a cloudy sky, in the distance a vibrant rainbow crosswalk is painted on the street. In the foreground of the group, written in chalk with letters of varying colors:

Mckenna Van Gelder's U18 career was marked by the advocacy of the PWHPA. Her reflections on joining PWHL San Jose, and being drafted to a professional league she wasn't sure would exist:

Reactions:
"I think I fit well into that team. I've known Troy Ryan for a little bit now, just through the Hockey Canada program, so I've known his game quite a bit, and I think what I play is going to fit in."

"When the league finally started up, it was just something that you dream of as a little kid for so long. I just remember when I was younger, I had the choice to either keep working hard and have blind trust in the players that came before me to put a league together, or maybe just just play hockey for fun – and don’t get me wrong, hockey is a very fun sport to play – but to maybe focus on other things. I decided to put in all the hard work and trust the players that came before me, and they put this incredible league together, and I can't wait to play in it."

any takes that are "the pwhl is showing favoritism towards Hilary Knight" can fuck right off. she's been a symbol for American hockey for almost two decades. she's sacrificed enough for this league
