The opposition argued “no cars means no business,” but the street has been a massive retail success, the city’s busiest shopping street.
I had the good fortune of working with Dick Proctor early in my career. While I’m saddened by his passing, remembrances like Tom Hawthorn’s are heartening. Dick is remembered for what he was: a humble, deeply ethical, hard-working journalist, organizer and politician.

I love the Tragically Hip. Their final concert is tough to watch. I’m sad Gord passed believing our Prime Minister was about to deliver a sea change in Canada’s relations with First Nations. It never happened. Today there is 40 boil water advisories and resource projects imposed without real consent

For those at home keeping score, over the course of the past *three days*, a driver crashed into a bank, an impaired driver drove into a Beer Store, a driver hit a pedestrian, and a driver hit a cyclist and almost crashed into the canal.
