It’s bad. Ukraine is still effectively hitting both inside Russia and occupied Crimea almost daily, but Putin (as usual) is targeting population centers instead of legitimate military targets.

Both Stevens and McMorrow were quick to throw their support behind El-Sayed. That shows that Dems can disagree and then still come together to do what is best for their constituents. NYT and Politico must be imploding because they can't do a Dems in Disarray story today.
Nearly every one of El-Sayed's issue positions is supported by a majority. In fact, his stands are the center of American politics today. Saying he is far left/left wing is just so old. The center of American politics has moved over the last 30 years, and El-Sayed's position are center now.
El-Sayed: "Once a government agency like ICE is told it has impunity to do the worst things and violate the highest law of the land, which is the Constitution itself, I don't think you can reform or retrain. I think we need to start from scratch ... I think we need to abolish it."

Yep. And a big part of the GOP's problem right now is that it's been remade as an explicitly, exclusively Trumpist party. The Dems are having some growing pains with the rise of the progressive left, but the party can accommodate it. The GOP has no way to accommodate anti-Trumpism.

The revealing part isn’t that they know the answers. Of course they do. It’s that they’re already practicing how to bend plain facts around Trump’s sensitivities before receiving lifetime appointments. Imagine what that instinct looks like once they’re on the bench.
