Some of the people with Cyclosporiasis will end up disabled. They will survive the acute infection, but their lives will never be the same. You never know what infection, accident or injury might change your health forever. Disability justice benefits everyone.

Progress happens when people work together. Honored to be part of the new International Society of Long COVID & Post-Acute Infection Syndromes (islc-pais.com). Together, we're advancing understanding, treatment, and prevention of post-infectious diseases through rigorous science. #LongCOVID #PAIS

Early COVID mitigations showed us the power of collective action. The environment began to heal. People with disabilities were accommodated. An entire flu strain was eradicated. Folks reconnected with their local communities. We worked together & saved lives.

It’s not your fault you’re disabled. It’s not your fault you’re chronically ill. It’s not your fault you’re living in poverty, lacking health insurance, homeless or unemployed. The billionaire class wants us to believe these are moral failings so they don’t have to help people. We should help.

Very fed up of the false narrative that lockdowns were the only harms. Ignoring the children who died from COVID and have long Covid and the many documented harms from COVID itself. It’s time that this was addressed.

After a covid inquiry, the silence of the media has failed to give a balanced narrative. Many children were orphaned, have long covid, had to off roll and miss school because schools were never mitigated. Also there are ongoing health risks now to children.

Welp. #Teacher be warned. I've been totally thrown by a student collapsing due to f-ing #longcovid right in front of me during class. Yep. Happened last week.

Disagree, children’s health was put last and they knew clearly from Day 1 that covid was airborne. They failed to roll vaccines and still are. Its vascular, causes immune damage and Children are very much still at risk. They never even talk about mental health problems caused by Covid infections.

None of my family or former friends take COVID seriously and I've had long COVID for 6 1/2 years. I think they've convinced themselves that I'm a hypochondriac. Because of course I just stopped enjoying everything I loved doing after I had COVID and instead decided to sit at home alone forevermore.

Some studies say more than 10% of people have Long Covid. This too is underestimate bc many don’t know their new health issues are Covid related, Drs. don’t recognize for ex. diabetes or A Fib🫀 can be Covid related. Some don’t even see a Dr. for new issue so are an invisible stat. DON’T BE A STAT, 😷

So, I'm starting to encounter real fightback from those who've chosen to abandon all mitigations. I've decided that I no longer want to take part in a society that is so malevolent about illness. The number of people with obvious Long Covid symptoms around me, yet I'm told to abandon my respirator.

I went to the prayer meeting this evening. Got raked over the coals for getting the puppy, when I can't afford him. 😬😔 Told that I'm anxious for still masking. I told them I was the only one living in reality about preventable infections. So fed up now. 😬😔

Picture of a lab/pointer mix breed. Right paw is white, white chin and white chest. Black fur and nose.

We had 6 years to adopt clean air standards We had 6 years to normalize masking Society chose denial instead Now as wildfires rage & the air turns to poison … people are left unprotected Covid cautious folks are still trying to protect those who’ve ignored them for years.

I’m having to fight for it. Every day. I go through endless loops of referrals and intakes that go nowhere. People who tell me this service isn’t the right fit but the next one will be. It’s a merry go round of cruelty that steals all your energy. This is how little they value disabled lives.

Addressing race inequality and racism needs to be a cross-government strategy with a Cabinet Minister designated responsibility for it. It should be a priority. There’s been a significant increase in far right riots, hate incidents and racism against faith groups and BME groups across the country.

How to tackle racism was an issue that Starmer government struggled with in Autumn 2025. It is not immediately obvious who in the Burnham Cabinet may try to be more vocal on this.
