Finding a tetanus shot on the weekend isn't easy or fun. And for every time I've been attacked, the owner was wailing, "They're friendly!" as it happened.
Dog bites get infected like crazy. Everyone bitten will need to go on antibiotics, trust me.
Whatever you do don’t take me to The Island from The Prisoner! I’d hate to live in a cool rent free apartment full of bold late 60s modern furniture haha noooo a bubble don’t chase me haha
I guess it's R.I.P. to the Kubert School as I and others remember it now that it's being absorbed into the County College of Morris. End of an era, man.
I've been thinking about why I'm not bigger in my field, and I think it's because I'm very very lazy
we should charge the C-suite with fraud and theft if they take a tax credit meant to keep people employed and then cut staff anyway.
Pixar receives a $26.2 Million Tax credit to keep film jobs in CA, and immediately lays off 10% of its work force, after making over a billion from Toy Story 5, the highest-grossing film of 2026.
My comic-shop haul this week. What a terrific year for comics it's been.
ALIENS for movies, THE HOBBIT for books, THE SECRET OF MONKEY ISLAND for games.
Name physical media you purchased more than once.
If you put together the season posters for Reacher they tell the story of a large man who can't remember where he put his keys.
Shigeru Miyamoto says the games that resonate most with players all around the world aren’t those deliberately designed for global appeal, but those based on a developer’s personal interests. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/miyamot...
Miyamoto: Games based on developers’ personal interests resonate around the world, not those aiming for global appeal | VGC
If developers try to make something the world will like, it becomes generic…

I do not remember having not read NEUROMANCER. It has permeated so much of popular culture that it has achieved mythic status.
If you use AI for your advertisement flyers, I'm going to make assumptions about you. I'm going to assume you cut corners on everything. If you're a bakery, I'm going to assume you use poor quality ingredients. If you're a handyman, same thing, I'll assume you cut corners on your work.
I got to see David Letterman tonight. He is a mythological figure to me... one of the cornerstones of my identity as a Somewhat Funny Person.
Space for speech balloons and captions should be in your pencils, artists. Little empty ovals, to save your letterer's sanity.
Not to be DRAMATIC, but the difference between lettering over an artist who does not think about the lettering while doing layouts, and one who does, is like the difference between being buried alive and standing in a field on a beautiful day, feeling the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin.
Took Child 2 to go see SUPERGIRL, and it was pretty solid stuff. Milly Alcock was great, there was just enough Lobo, and the set design was a lot of fun. I loved the fight on the space bus (featuring Seth Rogen!).

I need more youtube channels to do intros like this. I need streamers to do it. I need podcasts to do it. We need to return to this. This is it. It's perfect. 🥲
Siskel & Ebert opening was perfection: just two pals having fun with Very Loud Saxophone in the background
Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.
"how were people writing 10 page papers before AI???" we were smarter than you. you could've been smart, too. but you sold your brain for nothing
I wish this studio all the best. (Please release all your games on Switch.)
I wholeheartedly believe you shouldn't be able to say "comics will break your heart" until you've actually made one (1) of the bloody things.
When Jack Kirby said "Comics will break your heart" he was talking about the comics industry and the capitalists that run it But Comics (juxtaposed pictorial and other images in deliberate sequence, intended to convey information and/or produce an aesthetic response in the viewer) are your friend
genuinely concerned that if AI goes bankrupt I might shrug so hard I dislocate both shoulders
My neighbour has an extra kayak, so guess has become my new favorite hobby?
You make friends by being a friend, by showing up, and by being the type of person other people want to hang around with. It is extremely uncomplicated.
