This lollyscramble narrative is so sick and twisted. Every year since I’ve been an adult it’s a talking point when we know healthcare has gotten worse, higher education is expensive, poor families are struggling, disabled people are screwed over, elder care is a shitshow. Like where is lolly?
Anyone else find it really patronising of the government to talk to us about the budget like we are kids? ‘Lolly scramble’, ‘tough love’, ‘adult’ budget.. there’s nothing childish about wanting a responsible budget where we care for our poorest and everyone has a secure home.

Absolutely vile. I remember a lot of problems in the years I was living in the Auckland CBD and this was absolutely not one of them. The only time I saw things escalate were when cops or asshole passers by antagonised homeless people who are just trying to get by.

ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives. We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.
