On #SevereMEDay, I'm sharing Kornelia Paulsen's 'ME - How It Can Shrink One's World, Bit by Bit' We need recognition of severe and very severe states of ME. We need training for health workers, timely diagnosis, and provision of safe, specialist health care. We need funding for research.

💙 Today is Severe ME/CFS Awareness Day. Severe ME/CFS can leave people bedbound, unable to tolerate light or sound, and dependent on others for basic care. This publication highlights why greater recognition and care are urgently needed: https://bit.ly/4fi8aRp #SevereME #MECFS
already starting to feel the tumble from my wheelchair in my hips. oops. i still think it was funny as heck... i pushed a bit to get past the PEM stuff this morning, so i know it's going to be really bad tomorrow. plus the noise from the shelf installation was a lot. oh well, I'm happy for now :)
i guess "mobs" is to scooters as "peloton" is to bicycles? i agree that it is really bad to see so few helmets :( as @cpsc.gov's hit single says: protect yo noggin!
I’m sorrrrryyyyyy I’m crying over this 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“When I see such severe patients, I can't believe they haven't explained something like that to us in medicine, and if they don't teach them to us, we don't know.”
Unless it’s someone you know personally, you won’t meet anyone with severe ME. They’re typically bedbound, and live in constant, well, discomfort doesn’t come close to it. See below. The govt, and by extension NHS, do nothing. It’s a living hell. #severeMEday #severeMECFS

Today is #SevereME day. Please take a look at and share the thread below: help teach people about severe ME.
Today, Aug 8, is #SevereMEDay. Today we discuss severe-presenting #MECFS and remember people with severe ME. #MECFS is an infection-associated chronic illness, which means it is often, but not always, kicked off by an infection. ~Half of #LongCOVID cases at 6 mo meet the dx criteria for ME/CFS. 🧵
today I'm using my tv time to revisit the new Proud Family, and omg i forgot how good it is plus the hilarious incorporation of memes the debate episode with the "Slaves Built This Country" presentation 🔥🔥🔥
so my mom came to help me get a good bath, and I asked her specifically to help with scrubbing my legs and feet. and i also had some boxes for her to take home. so she was on the way out, and i was like "genius! i can hold these in my lap and wheel out to her car, save her back!" except
5 star review for my dad's carpentry! He installed the shelves in my closet today and they look amazing, especially since none of my walls are flat, and none of the bowing or angles are the same from one elevation to the next. I'm super happy! I can sit in my w/c to put laundry away now!
While everyone is discussing mobility aides I ought to put out a rec for this cleverly folding rollator I got a few months ago. It folds so small! Which if you've ever had to get a rollator in and out of a car and know how annoying they can be is a huge plus. I find it comfortable: rolloy.com

i put my earplugs in since i don't know when my dad will be using the saw, best to not be caught by surprise (he's installing shelves in my closet and trimming them to fit as he goes) and lololol i keep trying to lift my sunglasses like it'll help me see better. I'm not wearing sunglasses. 🤣

Not necessarily the kind of summer dress that we would identify with warm weather in the 21st century but in the early #1870s this was it. Gauzy layers of pale printed cotton and airy lace trim with a hint of an early bustle @metmuseum.org #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡
FIFTEEN is extremely of-the-moment, that is, 1958, and has so many descriptions of clothes and pop cultural stuff? it's kind of great for that. I'm half reading between my fingers though because i feel like something extremely embarrassing is going to happen to Jane (even more) idk if i can bear it
these are so good!!!! i love the color scheme, and the theme 😍

I recently finished knitting a baby blanket. For a decent section of it, I listened to Olivia Waites's NOBODY'S BABY. My card for the parents includes the following two quotes (yes, I have the ebook, too — it's *good*).
Hoping for some help from the #ME/CFS community. Pls share I have #SevereME & am mostly bedridden, in agony, with no doctor. I’m hoping to raise funds to access private healthcare. I can’t continue to live in so much pain, without any medication. #pwme #MECFS #ChronicIllness gofund.me/bfbddc2a5
