Didn't know this until today but Dolly Parton had a transsexual man named Jason Pirro work as her Hollywood chauffeur in the 1980s, per an interview he gave to The Sun in 1990. "Dolly has been good to me...Dolly knows all about me."

That intro was such a vital piece of character building. It shows you that he's achieved perfect lurk/wife balance.

we used to make Video Games

this is the sort of language they used from the very start. preschool and kindergarten age trans girls referred to as “male athletes”. they called little girls *men*! the animus is so clear, so palpable, that—to be perfectly blunt—the only way to fall for it is if you *want* to fall for it

they called us ‘biological males’ and ‘biological men’. they fearmongered about how our bodies pose a physical danger to women and girls. politicians like seth moulton openly talked about not wanting his daughters “getting run over … by a male or formerly male athlete” his daughters were 6 and 3

like you just cant fall for it unless you believe trans women *and girls* are men. the entire astroturfed controversy depends wholly on that assumption, and it is flagrantly reflected in how anti-trans hate activists have spoken about us from the very start

the propagandists didnt even try to mask the transmisogyny. the whole campaign from the get-go was just “well we all know a 9yo trans girl is a hulking disgusting male athletic freak who is going to break everyone bone in your daughters body at the swim meet so obviously we need to ban them all”

its so disheartening that not only did all the cis ppl with “reasonable concerns” about trans women & girls playing womens & girls sports fall for a transmisogynist propaganda campaign, they fell for a transmisogynist propaganda campaign that is blatantly leveraging their own latent transmisogyny

By almost any measure Dolly embodied "the American Dream." Some people will come from nothing and make it big and consider the problem now solved. Others will remember that there are still others with nothing and use what they have to help.

This isn't a hypothetical: if Israeli settlers continue to encroach and attack their Palestinian neighbors following a "2SS", will Palestinian forces be allowed to defend them, and will the IDF act to protect the settlers? That's the current status quo, and nobody seems interested in changing it.

This is especially true given that most Israeli proposals for a Palestinian State include settlement enclaves and continuing control over the Jordan Valley, there is just a baseline level of territorial integrity and sovereignty that outside observers assume is implied that is simply......not.

I wish there was more interrogation of what "demilitarized" means in the context of a 2SS, because I think most people assume it means that Palestine won't have a million tanks and jets, and what it actually means is that the IDF will still be conducting operations at will in Palestinian territory.
