i need people to understand that calls for "ethical ai" are calls for more ai it's like saying cops need more training. it sounds like criticism but functions as reason for more funding and does not ask if we need them at all

i’ve been thinking of what could even be said about such a tragedy. someone said it best that trans people are “born so late and die so young”. we uproot our lives and transition and live more life than anyone else ever does and society punishes us for it. we deserve better

Just got off the phone with a customer service rep who I’m 95% sure was AI. Before I hung up she asked if I could do her a favor and then she said “keep smiling for the rest of the day!” Bizarre, dystopic experience
