I learned if you go drop your ballot off at the ballot box an hour before it closes, not only do you get to see a bunch of other civic minded people from your neighborhood doing the same, but there are election workers in vests handing out stickers!
Outside the window, there was so much to see, and hear, and touch—walks to take, hills to climb, caterpillars to watch as they strolled through the garden. There were voices to hear and conversations to listen to in wonder, and the special smell of each day.
Got a no pay and as I walked through the lobby security was like "hey there's a guy who wants to check in his wife, her water just broke." I was like "well I just clocked out so y'all have fun with that! Remember to really throw your back into it when massaging the fundus! Ok byyyyye!"

After being by myself with the cats for a few days, I forget I do sound effects when alone. I just unleashed a particularly muppetesque noise in the staff lounge hall where 5 people heard and immediately burst into laughter/various themes of WTF was that Naïna? Got to remember I'm around people now.

I hate this but feel it's important to share. Seattle folks (especially north) be on the alert for this man who killed a sweet helpless cat. Reward offered and tips desperately needed to catch this monster as we know people who do such a heinous act don't just do it once.
There are more people who've parlayed middling athletic prospects into profitable careers decrying the inclusion of trans women in sports than there are trans women in sports.
Between this and a recent post of 1978 Milwaukee Bucks’ Kent Benson I think today’s men should embrace 1970s fashion. Might help the male loneliness epidemic.

Thinking of Spokane and the surrounding areas on what must be a terrifying night. I have friends there and once spent a lovely summer visiting and going to Indian games and hanging with the marmots and the trash goat. It’s a beautiful city with beautiful people and I hold them in my heart tonight.
