sometime i feel the word disability tax doesnt fully describe the egregious dehumanization disabled folks constantly have to deal with. its the never-ending administrative violence on top of other forms of violence, that makes you physically and mentally unwell.

I went to a party on Sat night & saw a ton of old friends from middle school & high school. I wore a mask bc Covid rates are pretty high in my area right now. An old frenemy asked if I was sick, &I said “I’m chronically ill”, & she had no idea what that meant. Brand new idea to her, chronic illness.

"why is she live-posting her chronic illness?" Because not enough people understand what it's like to live with a chronic illness and sometimes visibility helps people understand. It also helps other people with chronic illness feel less alone. I am not looking for sympathy or advice.
