You know how I wasn't going into detail about how good the Greens political communication strategy has been and why? I CHANGED MY MIND. The umbrella under which everything else fits is that the Greens understand the mainstream media landscape is hostile to them, and act accordingly. 1/? #nzpol

“Every day, powerful men are making decisions to increase the profits of a few at the top. And you pay the price.” “We will ensure the super rich and big corporations pay their fair share of tax so we can fund the critical services people rely on.” Sounds like a logical, smart, solid plan to me ✅

Setting aside any arguments about "communism" this is actually a quite reasonable price for a quality sweater, especially if you want something that's been made by people paid a living wage A comparable sweater from Patagonia is nearly a hundred dollars more Crossposted with @openvibe.social

A post from NZ First candidate Elliot Ikilei with a photo of Green Party leaders wearing the vintage style Green sweater with the comment NZD$165. Communism ain't cheap

And that's why we should call anything less than the living wage, the "poverty wage" - it's barely enough to survive! #nzpol

The current evidence-based Living Wage in Aotearoa NZ is $28.95. www.livingwage.org.nz/lw25 The current minimum wage is $23.95 - barely enough to exist on but the ACT Minister in the Luxon govt wanted a zero increase because ACT want workers to be destitute and beholden to employers #nzpol 1/n
