I would say this: I don't care what you think about trans people. The essence of America is that people here get to live their lives however they want, as long as they're not hurting anyone else. You don't get a vote on that. Trans people aren't hurting you, so leave them alone.

If you hate trans people you’re a fucking loser, full stop. And thinking that trans people need treatment to accept their birth sex = hate. We need more politicians who use this kind of language.

“I came to this country to pursue my education. I didn’t come here to commit a crime or hurt anyone. Yet now I’m walking through the streets of the United States with a GPS monitor on my leg, carrying a feeling of shame and humiliation that I never imagined I would experience…”

The cruelty is the point. Shame on this administration and shame on the people who voted for this. www.springfieldnewssun.com/local/spring...

telling that periodically someone would go "man dolly parton can't really be all that" and then they'd go look into it and come back with "actually she's even better than we thought"

Glad to find out I’m not 100% super-mega-weird for thinking, when I first heard this news earlier today, that this would be a grand occasion for Canada to “do that @doctorow.pluralistic.net stuff”… (y’know, that STUFF)

Craig Cheslog@craigcheslog.com · 2mo ago

It's time for Canada to follow @doctorow.pluralistic.net's advice and repeal their anti-circumvention law. This asshat of a trade representative won't know what hit him. pluralistic.net/2026/01/29/p...

This man gleefully and illegally caused the premature and painful deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. He was told at the time his actions would cause their deaths, and he thought it was funny.

A Reuters picture of Elon Musk play acting with red chainsaw at CPAC in February 2025, back when he was still admitting that he thought killing hundreds of thousands of people was funny.

I’m glad Congressman Landsman & his team were able to help this specific constituent, but the Trump administration is deliberately delaying DACA renewals, and it’s affecting hundreds of thousands of hard-working people who don’t deserve to be treated this way.

Congressman Greg Landsman@repgreglandsman.bsky.social · 3mo ago

After a constituent was at risk of losing their job because of delays in renewing his DACA and work authorization, our casework team stepped in to help. Here’s what he had to say.👇🏼

These comments from the developer are giving OceanGate vibes: 😬 “Nathan Berman, managing principal and founder of MetroLoft, the developer overseeing the conversion, said on Tuesday that “this incident is nothing more than a typical construction mishap.”

At least two structural columns buckled and failed in a 37-story office tower in Midtown Manhattan. The columns were part of the tower’s existing structure, and a New York Times review of images and videos has found that several floors were added atop these columns.

The thing is, legislators know that their vague laws don’t cover cases like this. They’ve been told. If they actually cared about women, they’d seek out experts to ensure that their laws protect exceptional cases. They do NOT care. They are 100% OK with women dying or having horrific outcomes.

In the reply to this post, I am going to put a screenshot of what doctors told this woman she would have to do on her own, at home, because they aren't allowed to give her & her fetus care to save her life and treat them both with dignity. It is horrifying. www.propublica.org/article/arka...

Trump called up his Brownshirts. He sent them to attack the Capitol. He pardoned them of crimes they were convicted of by juries of their peers. Now he’s rewarding them, using taxpayer money, & empowering them to commit violence on his behalf again in the future. Following the fascism playbook.

"I say without hyperbole that this is the most brazenly corrupt action in US Presidential history. That it does not immediately lead to impeachment is a dangerous sign of how far the rule of law has declined."

If we’re lucky, we’ll look back on these days as the third rebirth of our nation. Minneapolis will have national monuments like Boston, and Philadelphia, and Gettysburg, commemorating the everyday patriots who stood up for liberty and justice for all.
