the AI search arms race is the new pivot to video & the internet is gonna be 95% keyword slop soon enough, but every time the search algo gets gamed it has to change how it ranks content. once everything is pattern-matched to hell, these losers are gonna need actual soul-having arbiters of taste

The tech industry people who suddenly say they care about “taste,” culture, visual arts, fashion, history, etc feels especially strange and grating, I think, because this moment of abundance for them is made possibly only through the displacement of folks who make the things in the first place.
