Sorry to interrupt your recreation, fellows, but it is time for Sgt. Pinback to feed the alien.

This is the right thing to say and I wholeheartedly support it and believe it but it is frustrating and aggravating that he's been saying this for months and months and, like Mamdani, some people on here take this as a rhetorical pivot after the primary rather than just sincerity.

El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"

Abbas went on the record in late 2024 that he would vote for Kamala Harris even though she refused any of the demands and asks of pro-Palestine organizers, including the bare minimum of having a Palestinian speaker at the DNC or accepting the invitation to meet with Arab families in Michigan.

The co-founder of the 2024 National Uncommitted Movement, Abbas Alawieh, decisively won his primary to become a State Senator in Michigan. Abbas was endorsed by both Bernie Sanders and Gretchen Whitmer. Abbas Alawieh also privately met with former VP Kamala Harris last month upon her request.

No one is going to give the education you need to overthrow them. Nobody is going to teach you your true history, teach you your true heroes, if they know that knowledge will help set you free. – Assata Shakur

Let us begin from the beginning. What are the fundamental demands which every Marxist should make of an examination of the question of forms of struggle? In the first place, Marxism differs from all primitive forms of socialism by not binding the movement to any one particular form of struggle.

I say that believing it is worthwhile to do, but so much more challenging than it should be. Knowing how to navigate it is a skill that requires *immense* patience, and tolerance for the literal dumbest shit you’ve ever heard a human being say

Starting to think some of you need to go work in an office and play some ice breaker games so you can learn how to deal with people who are not strongly invested in politics and barely believe anything.

By which I mean a lot of self-described apolitical people start with one concern, like their healthcare being expensive and ineffective, are lured into certain online communities by the promise of fraudulent "solutions" and end up bonding with and getting radicalized into transphobic antivax freaks

Where I live in Iowa, cancer rates have skyrocketed because of deregulation of Big Ag and pesticide runoff in the water supply, and letting the people whose lives are being severely impacted by that just drift over to RFK Jr. Land is an unforced error

Not an AOC fangirl by any means but I see people criticizing her for this and I gotta say if you don't see the (legitimate) concerns behind the (illegitimate) MAHA "movement" as, at the very least, a political opportunity, you are being willfully obtuse or blinded by privilege or maybe both

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez@ocasio-cortez.house.gov · 2d ago

There is pervasive corruption across our healthcare and agricultural systems that defy party lines. I meet with MAHA activists because a lot of their concerns are bipartisan issues that major corporations paint as partisan. The fight isn't left and right, it's top and bottom.

Basically the height of caricature at this point: Israel is demanding that as part of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas, it be allowed to continue attacking Gaza.

🚨Israel has formally objected to three provisions in the Board of Peace approved roadmap for Gaza, including demands that would allow it to continue striking the territory, prevent Hamas’s collected weapons from remaining under the NCAG’s control, and exclude Qatar and Turkey from verifying compliance, Haaretz reported.

🔸 Continued Israeli attacks:
Israel is demanding continued freedom to carry out strikes across Gaza even after the agreement takes effect. A source familiar with the matter told Haaretz that “Israel demands freedom to strike areas of the Gaza Strip.”

It’s much easier to convince people that we can and should change the world when you’re actively involved in the relentless effort to do so.
