"And then there's THIS asshole..."

TBH it's kind of nice to have a reminder that no, the big-tent progressive movement isn't uniquely dysfunctional and dramatic, trying to get things done with people is just Like This generally

I am so grateful to have experienced the two shows at Pioneer Works, especially last night's! I was already a little bit sad that Produce is moving to a different venue for the next Brooklyn show. but it seems like @janelababy.bsky.social has HAD IT and it's not too hard to see why 🤼

this stuff is real and tangible in material ways we don’t have the expanded child tax credit today because joe manchin was personally opposed to it and couldn’t be talked out of his opposition he was also vote 50 of 50, if susan collins had lost in 2020 he’d have been vote 51 and we’d have it

some specific democrats suck and they suck in ways that are detrimental to issues that you personally care about you know how you solve that once we are past the primaries? you elect even more democrats so that their votes are less important joe manchin couldn’t have done as much damage as vote 52

El-Sayed: "If all Mike Rogers got is that 'his name is Abdul, and my name is Mike,' you're gonna be surprised how many people are like, 'Yeah, but that's the Abdul who wants to bring down the price of my groceries and make sure I got healthcare. So yeah, I like Abdul over your Mike from Florida.'"

NEWS — Haley Stevens has endorsed Abdul El-Sayed in the Michigan U.S. Senate race against Republican Mike Rogers.

El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"

1. the whole "disappointing night" thing is pure cope. El-Sayed beat the establishment candidate despite being outspent 10:1, that's an earthquake 2. primary polls are just not great and everyone needs to spend the next week going really, really hard for Peggy Flanagan
