Dr. Karen Hoyland, a researcher at the Institute for Tea, Biccies and ITV, made the statement explaining that neurotypicalism is a serious condition and explaining that it’s impossible to tell from someone’s public persona whether or not they have it.
Public warned to stop armchair diagnosing celebrities as neurotypical
The general public has been asked to stop assuming all celebrities are people with neurotypicalism, as it’s impossible to make that judgment without proper qualifications. Dr. Karen Hoyland, a…

yesterday I convinced my neighbour that "hello" is the shortened version of a" halo over your head and an angel on your shoulder" and I should be ashamed of myself but I'm not

You can't calibrate synthetic survey takers correctly without knowing a great deal about the real population. IOW, you can produce synthetic survey takers from a high quality survey, but not the other way around.
Pew tested AI synthetic surveys against actual survey data. Conclusion: “This experiment taught us that, at this time, AI models are not an adequate replacement for traditional polling on topics of broad public importance.” This is an all time bad idea. No need to hedge with “at this time.”
Things are defamation only slightly more frequenly than they're RICO
A fun as this is (for the lawyer$), I doubt calling someone at an ICE protest a "left-wing terrorist" is defamatory. Name-calling rarely is. And in context, no one could reasonably believe that "left-wing terrorist" means something defamatory.
Francaaaaa "Meep?" What is this "... Meep?" Yes! I found it between your toes and it wasn't there a minute ago! "Meep MEEP!" Did you snatch Fiasco's wig, Franca Did you snatch his wig clean off
TIL that Stephen Covey was the grandson of apostle and member of the quorum of the 12 apostle Stephen L Richards
The fact that this idiocy got past an editor in a book on godamn punctuation shows how deep the ignorance of Judaism and Jewish history is in the wider culture and how that ignorance is being weaponized so as to create a better scapegoat for Western uses
The man died centuries ago, but people are only interested in details that confirm their priors about modern politics. If I want them to get anything more than that from this lecture, I need to be very mindful about it. It’s exhausting.
One of the responses I saw to this (on substack, unfortunately) focused on treating children as people, not people-in-waiting. If you treat your child like a prop, an ornament, a possession to be used, when they break they will cut you.
I was promised Sharia, and all I got was this lousy municipal Strategy to Combat Antisemitism
However, they’re triaging NC on October 2nd and picturing to *checks notes* Kansas
Get heaped, loser. Get absolutely tasked.
He tasks me; he heaps me
idk what this means but it sounds kinda hot
He tasks me; he heaps me
That's ten° *C*, y'all
Seriously. Everyone is going to delight in this unseasonal warmth (about 10 degrees warmer than it's supposed to be). But just remember that 10 degrees warmer than it's supposed to be is NOT manageable in July. And that's what we're headed. weather.gc.ca/en/location/...
Hey, uh, question for les autistes: if you had braces or anything like that as a kid, how did you cope with that? How much say did you have in it? My dad (whom I love) didn't really consult me at all about me getting braces (or getting orofacial surgery??), and I stopped wearing a retainer..
Movie question. Anyone have recs that include a slimy womanizing business man? Preferably set in the 40s/50s but any time is ok. One weird caveat is I'd prefer the actor to be tall, and the role to not be comedic. I hope this makes sense.
Remember the reason for the season! Keep the Boo! in Hoyshane Raboo!
I can't wait to tell Rabbi M this. We sing a version of this regularly
Offering a reflection at our choir’s retreat on Saturday and was investigating that quote attributed to Augustine “He who sings, prays twice.” Turns out that’s not the exact quote! It’s “Qui **bene** cantat bis orat” He who sings *well*, prays twice.
ME: b-but Reverend Mother, we mustn’t, what if Shai Hulud hears the rhythm of our prayer and comes here and devours me?? MY DOMINATRIX: …I’m sorry can you explain all this again please
