Respectfully, this was me with climate at 16. This was also me on Black liberation/autonomy at 24--twelve years ago. Some of us have not only anticipated these events, we've LABORED to minimize and obviate their impacts. While mocked, surveilled, and systematically deprived of care and resources.

ER discharged me again—they say I'm 'stable' enough to leave, but the sepsis is ravaging my body. My diabetes is making the infection untreatable out here. I'm losing my vision and can barely crawl. I am literally dying in this tent. Please check my pinned post to save me.

In the UK, vaccines haven't even been readily available to people who aren't 65+ (and now, 75+) and have a limited set health conditions since *2022*. Like, not only do vaccines not stop COVID and long COVID, no vaccines from four years ago aren't doing all that much anymore. 🙃

People are still dying of Covid, Valéry. Last year my mother died of complications of COVID. She believed as you do, that it’s been years and did not mask or take precautions despite being immunocompromised. People aren’t talking about Covid still because we LIKE doing so.
