Hawaiian honeycreepers are the most beautiful demonstration of adaptive radiation and we’ve already lost ~40 species. The 17 remaining will likely go extinct in my lifetime because of climate change. The extinction crisis is here and has nothing to do with AI.

AI food photos are viscerally nauseating to me but people who make and sell food for a living are using them in marketing. Makes me feel completely out of touch with the world. What are they seeing and why is it so different from what I see?
