So happy about this video. Knuckles Centurions seem like such a niche meme category but in my opinion you can't get the full story of SA2B speedrunning and its community without understanding how much treasure hunting has got a life of its own and how dedicated runners are to mastering it

Speedrunner pro tip: When you get a new PB and you bop someone, make sure you let them know IMMEDIATELY! Tag them on social media/discord or send them a DM. I also recommend saying something like "lol it wasnt even that hard" so they know you really mean business!

Speedrun.com@speedruncom.bsky.social · 3w agoDevelopers ask us how to make a game speedrunners will love. "Built for speedrunners" often reads as gimmicky. The key: replayability, mechanical depth, a low skill floor and a high skill ceiling. A timer and leaderboards are important incentives - but can't be the whole offering.
