FENS 2026: We will present our BMI, mouse neuroprosthesis and somatosensory processing work through this week, including chairing a session on circuit neuroscience in freely moving mice! Check out the schedule below 🔽🔽🔽

I am hiring a postdoc to work with me on my ERC Starting Grant project DeMARRe - investigating whether exploration or risk-taking in adolescence influence neural circuit development to calibrate psychiatric vulnerability and resilience in adulthood. Details and application at the link below ⬇️

Where does anti-NMDAR autoimmune encephalitis come from? Our new work suggests that ectopic NMDAR expression in tumors can trigger anti-cancer immunity, and the resulting antibodies may drive encephalitis-like symptoms. A dynamic Janowitz-Furukawa lab collaboration. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Ectopic NMDAR expression in cancer unmasks germline-encoded autoimmunity - Nature

NMDAR expression is sufficient to induce B cell recruitment and affinity maturation, resulting in receptor-modulating antibodies that connect anti-cancer immunity and autoimmunity.
