nobody says "hubba hubba" or "hey mama" anymore it's all "put your toes in my mouth" or "epic goonmeat plaptime." we have lost our way

"wow this buff woman is so pretty i wish she could beat me up" how about this woman being kind to you and you being kind to them in response . how about you listen to her interests and thoughts . why must you resort to violence first . are you a living sandbag .

working on a theory that there is an inverse relationship between the quality of a fantasy game's writing and how heavily it features generic "bandits" whose only motivation is yum yum love evil and robbing

A 1993 Kellogg's Apple Jacks promotion for Super Mario Land 2 contained a score sheet for the game, to "keep track of points". Somehow they missed the fact that the game does not have a score system, rendering the sheet profoundly absurd and, fittingly, completely pointless.

This is a 1993 official Kellogg's Apple Jacks/Super Mario Land 2 promotion.
It contains a score sheet for the game. "Keep track of the points you earn", it says.
"SUPER MARIO LAND 20: 6 GOLDEN COINS
While you're helping Mario track down the six golden coins, keep track of the points you earn in each zone of Mario Land."
Super Mario Land 2 does not have a score system.
Like Super Mario Bros. 2 before it, or Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario Bros. Wonder after it, it simply does not have "points".
If the writer somehow meant something else the game does track, like coins or enemies defeated, this is a failure of communication as the game or its manual do not call them "points", nor do they function as a score in the way points do in other Mario games.
It is much more likely that the writer simply assumed that all Mario games have points, and did not check the specific game in question.

Broken swing sets? Missing basketball nets? Have no fear, Renew Crew is here. Neighborhood parks are meant for recreation — not frustration. If it’s broken, this crew will fix it. If it’s run-down, they’ll renew it. Renew Crew: Coming soon to a park near you.

We had to put up with years of "git gud" and "learn to code" from gamers and programmers but somehow "git gud" is not an acceptable response when sloppers insist that they can't possibly create art for their game without AI

it really does amuse me how often game consoles will be able to play games with detailed graphics with little to no issue and then run a web browser with all the speed of a computer from 30 years ago

my personal take is not that gta6 is gonna kill the gaming industry but the industry's reaction to it because 70 year old execs takeaway from it won't be "how can we invest in projects so they end up being better?" but "why isn't this small scope/budget different genre game not selling gta6 numbers"
