I fundamentally do not know how to square the politics whereby Democrats will essentially have to tell the American people that because they (the voters) made an extremely stupid decision, they need to lower their expectations substantially for the foreseeable future, but here we are.

If you ever find yourself thinking like the screenshotted post, please look into starting treatment for depression or changing the treatment you’re getting. It’s not healthy to feel like this, and you don’t have to.

This is absolutely true for clothing. Some companies have A/B tested it, and the majority of consumers prefer having lots of cheaper, lower quality clothes instead of slightly more expensive, nicer clothes.

I think my most genuinely unpopular take is that a widely held and genuine consumer preference for cheaper, lower-quality goods, not private equity, is driving the decline in quality of consumer goods like clothing and housewares.
