Black datura flower bud in the poison garden. I feel like I've been waiting forever for it to bloom since I'm hoping to make a flower essence. A sunny day or maybe the full moon should do it! Datura is fittingly a nocturnal bloomer.
Some of the close ups. I challenged myself to actually go slower with this one and work over multiple days. Very much enjoyed doing all the little details

When dry land is too far to reach or covered by high tide, seals use a "water bed": they jam themselves between rocks or grab kelp & take short power naps of 10-30 minutes. Lots of things are happening here: - unihemispheric sleep (half their brain remains awake) - muscular flaps cover the nose.
There is something uncanny, even eerie about the British countryside in the heat: the heaviness, the stillness, the vitality all burned away...

I want The Fall, The Green Knight, Pan's Labyrinth, Mirrormask. I want movies where weird dream shit be happening and the world feels eerie and unhinged.

If you are going to create OCs and want any hope of continuing to develop them long term, you better be really really obsessed with them, because if you need external validation, it's hard to come by. Be obsessed. Be self-indulgent. Don't try to please anyone else. People will feel your obsession.
