People need to understand that queer people grew up having to hide and being harmed by authority for being different. We don't take kindly to a tragedy targeted at us being used to increase policing, surveillance, and xenophobia.

Opening the news and politicians are falling over themselves to stock up on police, toughen sentences, getting rid of juvenile law. Cool cool cool when's the news going to start reporting on the universal budget cuts on queer support networks, bans on drag storytime, the government's homophobia?

part of why I don't like AI is bc it's so often the antithesis of caring for the little things, the appreciation of the mundane, of seeing beauty where others haven't yet been able to, and seeking genuine fundamental understanding all in the name of "get product faster" I find it so disheartening

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.
