I've basically likened streaming (and just binge watching in general) to "Getting to eat ice cream as much as you want whenever you want" Sure, it SOUNDS like a good idea on paper. You get to watch the show you want and finish it all at once, but the dopamine hits go away just as fast as they come.

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

I’m just basing this on what other species do when one of their own goes rogue but I feel like if a guy’s business model involves making everybody stupid & gatekeeping the collectively earned knowledge of humankind in order to charge people for it we kind of have to rip apart & eat that guy.

Using lists of three is not an "AI tell." It's a common trait in human writing because our brains biologically want to make sure there's always one thing to marry, one thing to fuck, and one thing to murder.

I hate that storyboards have become expected to be final clean animation poses with breakdowns in perfect perspective. this is not how it was supposed to be. let the animators animate! (I say as both a boarder and an animator)

I love how the previous generations of storyboard artists were allowed to draw silly cartoon characters on flat wobbly backgrounds, but now we have to learn how to draw the most realistic anime proportions and perspective ever to even be considered for a job

I feel like publicly affirming you don't use AI goes a long way, otherwise people who are doubting have no other way to know without asking. I've had to ask youtube musicians and writers after hearing a lot of cliches in their work. I would like to see saying you don't use AI to be normalized

The way suspecting genAI use has turned artists against each other feels so disheartening lately. We all have to be sus these days (and never trust large corps) but we also shouldn't go so hard other way that we treat everyone as guilty til proven innocent. You don't always have to assume the worst.
