They censor "protect the dolls" but broadcast some racist encouraging their kid to yell "sink the boats" because their job is to engineer your complicity with atrocity.

In my experience, the correlation between [good at doing exams at GCSE] and [well suited to higher education] is not simple. Many of my best students have been those that performed poorly in their GCSEs and A-levels.
Well, there goes lifelong learning. Absolute bastardry.
One thing about being quite hetero-passing is that when guys feel comfortable with me they start to show their true homophobic selves. There's a reason so many bi+ men don't feel comfortable coming out. Call it cowardice, but when you're surrounded by hate you do what you can to hide.
I frequently define anarchism as an ongoing *and perpetual* project of resistance and deconstruction.
I'm an anarchist. The necessity of destroying power is the core concept.
This is a sick joke. This is segregation not inclusion. www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/...
More trans-inclusive spaces planned for Oxford
An Oxford City Council meeting voted for more inclusive spaces, including gender-neutral facilities.

If Sadiq Khan is a trans ally, why is he allowing JK Rowling’s Harry Potter to take over the Christmas lights in Oxford Circus? Email him now and ask him to pull the plug on transphobia. goodlaw.social/e1ae3f

Transphobia looks like: - using the terms "Biolgical women" and "Biolgical man" - using the term "trans-identified" - Accepting the segretion of trans + people from their cis peers - Deliberately misgendering a trans + person - Deliberately using their pre-transition name
why would you cite a survey of parents and not children to uncover the behavior of the children
I feel like I’m going crazy. We’re having endless “how antisemitic are the greens” conversations over the Zionism motion, rather than asking WHY there’s such strength of feeling and looking at the whole “Israel being investigated by the ICJ” thing. Meanwhile, reform and restore have NAZI MEMBERS.
I am, once again, reminded that you can no longer trust that people who identify as "socialists" are even vaguely left-leaning. Being angry at the rich and hating capitalism is not sufficient. There's supposed to be, you know, a *social* dimension to socialism...
We are judging you, Mary-Ann Stephenson. We are judging…
To be extra *fucking* clear: if you even remotely try to "both sides" or "play devil's advocate" in relation to the Cornell 57, as far as I'm concerned you may as well have been in that group chat, and I will be blocking you because I don't associate with rape apologists.
I think the reluctance to say that abusers shouldn't have positions of power comes back to Great Man Theory. There's a temptation to think that movements pivot on particular exceptional individuals and we therefore have to excuse their abuse in the name of their contributions to a higher cause.
The criticism: "pensioners have the triple lock to ensure they have enough money - workers don't" The intended outcome: "let's protect worker's pay so" The actual outcome "fuck pensioners"
It still very much remains to be seen if there will be any real consequences for him. Most likely he has hit his career high point, but there seem to be enough people going "HASN'T HE SUFFERED ENOUGH?" That even that is far from certain. Cancellation isn't real.
As hospitals across the country cave to the Trump administration’s threats to cut federal funding and abandon trans youth, actor Elliot Page speaks out. In New York City, NYU Langone, Mount Sinai, and NewYork-Presbyterian abruptly ended care for trans kids in response to these threats.
This is the funniest thing I've seen today, possibly ever
y'all i'm working on this data collection project looking at dissertations & sometimes I get reminders that we are not all playing the same game (1999 edition)
I'll believe Burnham is a progressive when he brings forward laws to undo our historically hostile position against LGBTQ+ people, immigrants and refugees, and protesters. Until then he's just Blue Labour with better vibes.
Great news: the School has sacked a third of its academic but we've acquired 2 new interim managers on top of the extra permanent ones. Fine work all round.
If you can't get a judge to jail a rapist, your society is broken. If the police won't even investigate an accusation of rape, your society is broken. If men think they can get away with rape because their mates will tell them "they deserved it", your society is broken.
People are very resistant to the idea that patriarchy is about a relationship to power. Is every man abusive? No, plainly not. But patriarchy affords them the ability to misuse their power in a way that people of other genders cannot. So the more power they accumulate, the greater that temptation.
A lot of people have this weird need to find the one 'good cishet white man' because they are ultimately desperate to have the One Good Patriarch. It's deeply embarrassing, and it's also why a bunch of white cis women tried to cast doubt on the rape allegations.
Burnham is stacking a whole lot of things under a list of "Todo, IF we win the next General Election" and quite a lot fewer things under "Todo, currently, whilst we hold power with a huge majority"
Actually, I do believe that "bright young men with potential" should have their lives forever ruined if they choose to rape someone.
