I caught the Mob Psycho 100 10th anniversary showing in theaters and it got me to go back and rewatch the entire series. Mob Psycho 100 really is just an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. 10/10, if you haven't seen it watch it immediately if you have seen it go watch it again.

[therapy practice for modern day magical girls] jax: i feel like i've lost my humanity and there's no way out evangeline morgan: maybe this "humanity" thing is holding you back, preventing you from healing?

If I could add, kids could also really use more narratives that recognize that the adults around them a fallible. I've run into it a couple of times with my writing where the notes back were that 'this seems kind of irresponsible of (an adult)' 'this seems kind of mean.' And it might be. Let it.

Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.

I genuinely think the reason people are so mad at TADC is they sympathised with a trans woman under the mistaken belief she was a Tumblr sexyman, they were artfully manoeuvred into doing so by another trans woman, and they can't make the "it doesn't count" stick and they can't take it back

in art circles in jp / chn, artists get referred to as “sensei” / “laoshi”, but we don’t have that in english and we should. but i also don’t really like the way “teacher” sounds in english, so i think we should start addressing all artists as “boss”, like we’re all goons (the normal definiton)

video game nostalgia is a constant battle between "you felt that way because you were twelve" and "the video game industry liked video games back then"
