It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

Only a teensy tiny fraction of books are truly rare, unique, or scarce. But the idea that people destroy the 1,921st copy of a book no one is interested in always freaks people out. They are appalled that libraries weed books, too.

here’s my midnight hot take. it irritates me seeing cishet white male comics writers whine on social media about their haters or engage in petty online fights with them

i wish peter allan fields had continued to write ds9 episodes after season 2. he works on a few but he’s not a regular writer after that. and his episodes are some of my favorites. i thought he had a good handle on kira and jadzia and was able to write them in a non-sexist way

i will also print new copies of my buffy poetry zine to give out at flamecon but i don’t know if anyone will be super interested in them but i will have them if anyone wants one

i love being an adult and doing whatever i want. i can use my money to order a bunch of printed copies of a comic i wrote and give them out to my friends and it’s allowed! it’s allowed. what a beautiful world

Not to soap box about this but i feel that ppl in the english indie comics space should hear it: creating doujinshi/self published comics without the stamp of a prestigious fair or an indie publisher does not make you any less of a comic artist. drawing comics makes you a comic artist.

Many bills upcoming, preorders appreciated! Also my Hitchcock, lesbian vampire, and Scream zines are all already released and available (I think there's only like 20 copies of the original rubber stamp cover of the Scream Zine remaining since a publisher is rereleasing it later this year 😱)
