God, having to see polls all the time about whether the rest of society thinks you're a human who should be treated as a human and given the rights of a human is fucking dire regardless of what those polls even say

It’s been genuinely fascinating seeing the “gender critical” reaction to that article, because their issue with it is that it doesn’t have enough focus on their hatred of trans people. I’d love to know what BBC they’re watching that they seem to think has a pro-trans bias.

Sondra Treasure: I just wonder when the BBC started hating women. I'm an American, but I've watched English television most of my life. It seems like up until the last years or so, the BBC was always very respectful and intelligent toward women's needs. Then suddenly women didn't matter. Suddenly. It was all about the men men men. Especially the men in dresses. Apparently the people at the BBC now believe that all women have penises, because they're certainly not talking to women about women's issues. They're talking to men claiming a female identity. It's getting old.Rhonda Jack: The BBC seems to ignore that impartiality is part of its charterSandra Easton-Lawrence: Very poor journalism so no explanation of why Pride is less popular but a clear indication of why this also applies to the BBC.

Yvonne Buck: That doesn't surprise me, the BBC is, in my opinion massively biased towards "trans" people, but the institution is unable to recognise this. I thought that Pride was wonderful when it began, people could openly express their love for their same sex partners without fear or shame, until the T and the rest of the alphabet joined the LGB and sadly Pride has morphed into Pride for Perverts, every kink is on display and while I agree that children should learn about same sex relationships being normal and not shameful.
Learning about pup play, sadistic fetishes, masochism and strangulation has NO place at so called family events, that's why Pride isn't as well supported as it used to be,

Sue King: I don't think the BBC have any real journalists now; presumably the good ones, who actually asked questions, left long ago.

“Why is Pride facing a backlash?” BBC News ponders after spending years orchestrating a backlash.

Brown needs to talk to Burnham about “divisive & dangerous” politics. Andy Burnham is - by a very long distance - the most transphobic Prime Minister ever, imposing EHRC anti-trans “guidance” &, in a few days the state-mandated bullying of trans kids in school; ten times worse than Section 28.

I Around the world, people are rejecting divisive and dangerous politics. We can - and must - build on that

We are tired of asking for respect, compassion, and rights from a society that isn't willing to act on our behalf. Our aim is to reduce the reliance on society for our well-being so that we are able to insulate the community from undue hardship.

Dr Arday’s tragic death was the direct, foreseeable result of press harrassment, with racism playing a key role We're asking the prime minister to commission an immediate public inquiry ito ensure we never see a tragic death like Dr Arday's again goodlaw.social/n1ck

So I’m back. I think I’m gonna change the way I engage with social media though. I doomscroll a lot and let it weigh me down and that just isn’t sustainable. As shit as things are I think I do need to focus on the positives in my life more.

I’m gonna disappear from BlueSky for a while. My roommate is gonna keep me up to speed with anything I need to be aware of. Otherwise I’m gonna put myself in an early grave. She handles this stuff way better than I do.
