God, having to see polls all the time about whether the rest of society thinks you're a human who should be treated as a human and given the rights of a human is fucking dire regardless of what those polls even say

It’s been genuinely fascinating seeing the “gender critical” reaction to that article, because their issue with it is that it doesn’t have enough focus on their hatred of trans people. I’d love to know what BBC they’re watching that they seem to think has a pro-trans bias.

Sondra Treasure: I just wonder when the BBC started hating women. I'm an American, but I've watched English television most of my life. It seems like up until the last years or so, the BBC was always very respectful and intelligent toward women's needs. Then suddenly women didn't matter. Suddenly. It was all about the men men men. Brown needs to talk to Burnham about “divisive & dangerous” politics. Andy Burnham is - by a very long distance - the most transphobic Prime Minister ever, imposing EHRC anti-trans “guidance” &, in a few days the state-mandated bullying of trans kids in school; ten times worse than Section 28.

So I’m back. I think I’m gonna change the way I engage with social media though. I doomscroll a lot and let it weigh me down and that just isn’t sustainable. As shit as things are I think I do need to focus on the positives in my life more.

I’m gonna disappear from BlueSky for a while. My roommate is gonna keep me up to speed with anything I need to be aware of. Otherwise I’m gonna put myself in an early grave. She handles this stuff way better than I do.
