Trump says the ballroom is being paid for by him and “patriots.” Meanwhile, taxpayers and billionaire tech companies are footing the bill. When I worked in the White House, we knew public service meant putting families first, not funding a vanity project.
This is the other part of the story we should be focused on, besides his apparent inability to adequately represent his constituents now.

Legitimate voter fraud cases are extremely rare.

The guy with the 33% approval rating wants to put the GOP at the beck and call of widely hated tech oligarchs, and the response from Dems is to look for ways to help Republicans get distance from Trump by partnering with them on "bipartisan" bills that Trump will never sign.

So @newyorkstateag.bsky.social told these hospitals six or seven months ago that they would be violating NYS law if they didn't resume providing care for trans youth. It didn't happen; they're now signing agreements to stop forever. At this point, she needs to start suing and prosecuting.

Other news organizations should leave the White House. They can of course still cover the administration--almost none of their coverage depends on being there physically. But they shouldn't stay there, raising their hands dutifully in the briefing room, as if it's business as usual.

AI is unpopular. The public overwhelmingly supports aggressive AI regulation; it overwhelmingly opposes further investment in AI infrastructure. Naturally, Dems are telling frontline members to ̶d̶o̶ ̶p̶o̶p̶u̶l̶a̶r̶i̶s̶m̶ curl into the fetal position to appease the mean tech men. There is another way.
