Finally, some updates. All copyedits for SUFFERING THE OTHER have been rolled in, and we have a new ARC. A few last tweaks and some proofreading, then it will be ready for publication. I plan to open up pre-orders this week, with shipping in late September.

One thing I can confidently say is that more than a few other books have been canceled for AI use--including by established authors and non-fiction books--that have just not made the news yet.
👀 Fascinated by the "withdrawn by its agents" detail. So the AI use was so blatant that the agents due a huge payday preemptively withdrew the contract?

Really bummed by this statement from Submittable about AI included in their email about new CEO. They haven't really felt like they care about lit mags/publishers for awhile now, but this feels like the death knell for me.
Never forget that they had to spend trillions of dollars, build massive data centers, consume millions of galloons of water and insane amounts of electricity, just to kind of do what you can do better with your imagination and a cup of coffee. That's how envious they are of what you can do.
Remember those summer reading lists you used to get as a kid? While they could have a few gems, for the most part, they weren't all that exciting. But what if your teachers had given you manga and light novels to read?

This was my novel. Thank you so much for the feedback. I'll definitely take it into consideration as I continue to edit my work.
22 #A #SF #10Queries #RevPit Interesting concept, like the voice, but it was a bit tricky tracking the shifting POV in the early pages. Readers need grounding - establish POV early after each shift, and make sure all the POVs are serving a story purpose.
One last meme to send off #revpit . Congratulations everyone; we all worked very hard to reach this point, regardless of the results.
