Tip for level designers: Get one of these, go to a cafe, and relax. Many of my best level design ideas existed on paper first. Tip for notepad manufacturers: Many level designers would be excited about hexagon patterns instead of square grids.

In response to the unprecedented number of game developers laid off this year, we have created a bundle on itch to benefit a Game Industry Hardship Fund, managed by @videogameworkers.bsky.social. More than 100 games for 10+ bucks! Please share widely and donate generously! itch.io/b/3802/game-...

"A Dream About Parking Lots" forma parte de este bundle cuyas ganancias totales serán donadas a un sindicato que busca apoyar a los desarrolladores de videojuegos que han sufrido por culpa de la volatilidad de la industria. 127 juegos por $10 dólares ;) itch.io/b/3802/game-...

The reason RAM prices went up 4x is that a massive amount of not-yet-manufactured memory was bought with money that doesn't really exist to put into GPUs that haven't been made yet, to be installed in data centers that haven't been built, powered by infrastructure that may never exist, to satisfy demand that isn't actually there, in order to generate profits that are mathematically impossible.

Here's my interview with Fumito Ueda, which I genuinely think is one of the best I've had in some time. We talk about if people seeing an "Ueda style" is constraining, an obscure PS2 helicopter game that inspired part of GenAtlas, WALL-E, and yes, the shooting www.rpgsite.net/interview/20...

"I'm here to create something new that does not exist, that no one has ever done before" - Fumito Ueda on Gen Atlas' inspirations, shooter elements, and his distinct style | RPG Site

We talk to Fumito Ueda about how Gen Atlas embraces, and diverges from, the distinct tone and style of his previous games.
