I feel like we need to learn the lesson that when white guys run for office on the basis of being good at business, all that means is they are rich enough to campaign. It certainly doesn’t mean they’re good at negotiating or leading.

i've been chewing on why i think this is so great, and i think at bottom it's that it's such *ordinary* speech. clearly she's thought about this, clearly she has values she's comfortable expressing, but she's not speaking as though she's Making A Political Statement. just plain, earnest language

After a couple of weeks getting acclimated, Joey is proving to be an amazing rescue buddy! He is sweet, silly, loves a walk, playing, likes other dogs and people, and he isn't so hard to train. He does enjoy carrying shoes to his bed though, but he doesn't chew them. He just likes shoes, I guess.

It really bothers me that Jody Allen sold the Blazers to Tom Dundon because she hates Portland and wants the team to move. These selfish mercurial billionaires care nothing for the communities they impact. It shouldn't be this way.

I had a vague notion that Tulsi Gabbard was in an actual cult, but this shit is WILD. It seems almost small amidst all the insane shit our government is doing, but the fact that the head of National Intelligence was taking orders from her cult leader is completely bonkers. This is our country now.

Just read a post explaining that the US don't/can't produce world-class footballers because they their youth set-ups are too expensive and honestly what level of nightmare capitalism do you need to operate on for the sport that requires nothing but boots and a ball to be prohibitively expensive.
