New data were published this week, but the underlying issue remains: *Since ICE and CBP were funded through the budget reconciliation process, bypassing the normal appropriations process and the transparency requirement, there is no longer a legal requirement for them to publish data.*

In July 2025 we started the ICE Detention Map project to show ICE's reported detention centers. This data came from public records shared by ICE. But since April 9th 2026, ICE stopped sharing this data, entirely. Read more about what happened here: lockdown.systems/fragile-dhs-...
