I don't know who needs to see a picture of my cat in a Sunbeam looking like a boss but when I walked into my office and saw this, I almost took it as a sign I should call off of work. And yes, the chair looks like this because I have cats.

A large brown, orange and cream calico cat is stretched out on a black chair. She's on her back, and the white fur on her belly is aligned with a sun beam. Her head is propped up on the back of the chair so it looks like she is sitting in a very intentional way. She has one foot casually wrapped off the side of the chair. The vibe is very much evil villain at work. The black chair has seen better days because, again cats.

Dr. Kenner butchered my kids name at her hs graduation. Not the diploma part itself but when announcing the success of the graduate class. My kiddo was the top female mathathlete in the state and had gone to the school for 6 yrs. I am still ready to fight Dr. Kenner at a moments notice over this.

I am so tired of "haha, I'm not even gonna bother to try" or jokes about names. Fuck off. I'm still mad my name got said wrong at my high school graduation (Alexandria) but it is SO easy to do better, ESPECIALLY at a moment that is meant to HONOR people. I wish people would.

Let’s be better at: This current situation is very bad, scary, and disturbing and reflects some unique characteristics about the political moment AND look at this historical precedent that is very similar and was also always bad, scary and disturbing that we should have/still can learn from.

In the year of the Undying King 2026 can we please take a fucking moment and just remember that the only people who would say that a woman let herself be abused is the kind of person who others are warned about in a whisper network somewhere.

Post nicht verfügbar.

I have been thinking a lot about the friends who absolutely believed me about my abuse, stood in witness to it, and then continued to be friends with and hang out with my abuser after I finally got out. And I've been again so thankful to have booted those people and their partners from my life.

whole thing reminds me of the friends who absolutely believed me about my rapist & were so kind to me in conversation and then still hung out with him

This. Like, fucking come on. We told you the Nazi tattoo should be disqualifying because, I mean for fucks sake, it should be on its own. But the language Platner used at the time, and still uses, was clocked by many of us as the language of someone who does not take responsibility for his harms.

perhaps we should view nazi tattoos as disqualifying from here on out. i kind of assumed we'd already view them as disqualifying but was unpleasantly surprised so maybe from here we could all agree not to downplay nazi tattoos since they seem pretty indicative of broad disregard for human dignity

If my rapist was running for office, I'd be in hell. Esp just five years later? Hell. I might change my mind after a transformative justice process, but in the absence? It means he still isn't willing to be honest, to do the work. He still lacks integrity. I wish Jenny Racicot peace & healing.

These men all have the same playbook and I will never forgive the politicians who foisted him on us, including @warren.senate.gov. I mean, I sort of expect men on the left to rally behind a Nazi with a questionable history with women, but Warren really grossed out on this one.

A woman who dated Maine U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner says he forced her to have sex with him nearly five years ago despite her repeated objections, an allegation Platner denies.

This was a great piece and I recommend the Flytrap. Got the subscription as soon as I got the new job. I often grapple with my love for sports I was raised on versus the way they often reinforce the inequities I spent my days fighting against. I felt this.

I have been diagnosed with PTSD and I have never once used it to excuse the harm I caused someone else. The bending over backwards for Platner is just stunning. Y'all will champion a white man who is toxic as fuck but will absolutely punch down anyone from a marginalized background.
