Part of why it’s so baffling to me that there’s such a widespread insistence that challenging, bold game designs should include easier or more standardized options/modes to maybe-lure folks towards the harder stuff is that every other art form has worked out that that’s usually not very effective.
After a 2 month grind, I got the Mushihimesama Maniac 1CC! I almost fainted during Stage 5, but it was worth it. I never thought I'd be able to clear this caliber of game, I thought CAVE 1CCs were beyond me, but I'm so glad I went through the pain. YOU can do this too, go play Arcade games!

I hope the new Matthewmatosis vid sours people at least a little bit on "exploratory" descriptive topic vids. Taking on a prescriptive tone & approach is often straight up better for clarity, and a loss of nuance is just the tradeoff u have to accept when making shorter vids
