Reporting on the SCOTUS birthright case doesn't reflect how alarming it is that the ruling was so close. It also glosses over the danger of a Roberts Court that attacks voting rights, minority protections, and campaign finance laws — all while making it easier for corporations to poison us. Hello?
I genuinely think that anyone dissenting in Birthright Citizenship should be immediately stripped of their seat, no procedure or impeachment needed. It's a yes/no question of "will you follow the constitution when it's very very clear" and their answer was no
14th Amendment (1868): “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” It couldn't be more clear. Alarming that this ruling was so close.

It is profoundly disturbing that four justices would allow either the president or Congress to rewrite the plain text of the 14th Amendment. This is obviously a good outcome, but the margin is alarming.
