My 12-year-old is mostly very understanding of why I don’t allow him to play Fortnite or Roblox but tonight he attempted another request for Fortnite by invoking one of my patron saints, @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social. It didn’t work for him but that was clever.

If Tron was real do you think the little computer guys would judge us. Probably, right? They'd have nothing to do but see our terrible code running. They'd watch a memory leak like "umm hello?"

Complex technic assembly with arms sticking out in 12 different waysViewed from the top it has 4 layers of 120° rotational symmetry at 90° phases in different colors Color coding extends to the beams running snotwise Welded to system parts to create the body of the rocket

Okay everybody. Tell me I don’t need more bamboo. I have a bunch of bamboo. It has grown up to the kitchen ceiling.

I went to The Odyssey today and while I may get around to writing up my thoughts at some point, for now I'll just say I really liked it.

I have not seen The Odyssey yet but the casting of Lupita Nyong’o as the most beautiful woman in the world strikes me as exactly right.
