For a certain kind of white man, there is no fear more primal than the fear that the people they have abused will gain power and treat them the same way.

This photo is my desktop wallpaper. It's a view from Mont Megantic in Quebec of the Appalachians of northen New Hampshire and Maine. I love it and it breaks my heart every day knowing that it will be a very long time (maybe never) that I visit those states again. But I stand strong for Canada.
And this sort of thing is why Canadians are not just going to go “oh, everything’s okay now” just because the Democrats get a majority in Congress.
