Cell biologist interested in stem cells, cell plasticity, resilience, adapting and regeneration. Group leader at📍 University of Bergen, Norway Previously PhD and PD at 👩🏻‍🎓 University of Geneva, Switzerland 🇷🇴🇨🇭🇳🇴

It was a pleasure serving on the scientific committee for this year's Nordic Meeting on Development, Stem Cells & Regeneration in Uppsala @swedbo.bsky.social Amazing science in a wide range of models - C. elegans, sharks, zebrafish, mice and spiny mice, stem cells - gathered in beautiful Uppsala!

Registration still open for local seminar next week at Eitri ⏬ Discover career paths beyond traditional academia. This seminar offers advice and firsthand insights into navigating transitions between research, innovation, and industry. It's ideal for early-career researchers.

I am excited to announce the latest paper from our lab, published in Science ! In this study, we show that thalamocortical-like circuits in the zebrafish brain process sensory information hierarchically across topographically organized forebrain circuits.

Hierarchical sensory processing in zebrafish thalamocortical-like circuits

Thalamocortical projections shape the functional regionalization and parallel sensory computations across the mammalian cortex. However, the principles of thalamocortical computations in non-mammalian...

Too many of us repeat the statement that trust in science is falling. Is it really the case? The data don’t support this conclusion in a straight forward way. Science may have an influence & comms problem more than a trust problem, in fact… but it’s complex 👇🏻 🧪 www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Have people stopped trusting science? The data tell a surprising story

Some say there’s a global crisis of trust — but research reveals where the real problems lie.

Central to our philosophy at bioRxiv and medRxiv is decoupling dissemination and evaluation, so _we_ will not rank papers. But 3rd-party discovery services - from familiar tools like Google to qed - will always be entry points to our corpus. It'll be interesting to see which are adopted. 5/n
