This highlights a profound impact of Trump — the further normalization of violence against women. Trump got elected in spite of his long history of violence against women. He is not held accountable when he continues to abuse women. 1/2
Max Miller on why he's staying in the race: "When we go back to 2015 and 2016, & people in the media looked at President Trump, & everyone came out with allegations. Dozens of women, dozens of crazy allegations, dozens of nasty criminal misconduct. And you know what he did? He stayed in the fight."
This was predicted by TKO ahead of time, down to the $30 million amount, to say nothing of how the event juiced their biz in innumerable other ways. I see antagonists taking a victory lap over this news, but TKO posted record revenue just yesterday from this same quarter. Don’t fall for it.

Hard to find a better way to show your skill level is very likely/actually low and you fundamentally misunderstand martial arts than Jonah Hill has.
He will never understand that being "the fat guy from Superbad" is infinitely better than being "the martial arts chud nobody likes"
If you want to see how intertwined the UFC brand is with Trump, this sign is visible at an event currently taking place in Serbia. Of note, Trump's not there nor was it ever suggested he'd be there. The audience just knows a great way to get the message to Trump is to send it at a UFC event.
As soon as I saw Sophie Cunningham do a cameo as a ring card girl for UFC, I instantly knew she was right wing.
SOPHIE CUNNINGHAM: [shows up as a ring girl for UFC because Joe Rogan has her number] WOMENS SPORTS MEDIA: “Ah yes, a moderate. Who can truly tell her politics?”
ICE is many things, including being the militarized arm of a demographic project. As long as ICE are after immigrants, that they’re prone to use violence is a limited liability and even a boon to the sadists. Unless ICE started after white America, MAGA will never turn on them.
Despite weeks of renewed press coverage and controversy around ICE, Donald Trump’s supporters appear to be standing by the agency no matter what. www.wired.com/story/it-loo...
On June 21, DOJ charged "shriveled shlong" with conspiracy to commit murder. Today, they moved to dismiss that charge. This was part of the UFC plot. And I'm sorry, but I'm not deep enough in this case yet to explain WTF. Here's that docket: www.courtlistener.com/docket/73512...
Dana "I Slap My Wife in Public" White, who recently built an entire UFC show around rapist Conor McGregor, is friends with rapist Andrew Tate??? A stunning revelation.

Which footage would you say fits this description?
@lukethomas.bsky.social -why was there NOT ONE talking head in MMA media stating the obvious, for weeks: every bit of footage of McGregor, every training, every media, he looked like absolute slow, awful shit? Was everyone just *so* afraid of an Aldo 1st punch KO to make them loom foolish..
Best ending to a UFC show ever. Legit actually funnier than if Conor got KO'd.
This is a correct recitation of events.
In case you don't follow UFC (don't blame you), alleged rapist Conor McGregor was top billing tonight and came out swinging like a crackhead, only to instantaneously blow out his knee on the very first kick, get punched in the face approximately 11 times, and lose immediately
In a way this week has been good for those who follow MMA media. It has laid bare the morals and ethics of many who cover the sport. My suggestion, for those who care about such things, support those who showed they won't be rape apologists. It really is pretty simple.
Why'd I read it: @lukethomas.bsky.social recommendation Genre: nonfiction Thoughts: Not a topic I knew much about so it was very informative. I can related to the hospitals because ive seen changes while working at one through mergers even though it wasn't private equity. #BookSky #QuickReview
One of the great dualities of MMA is that no other sport has so many athletes who are both entirely pitiable while at the same time unworthy of even the slightest iota of pity.
