Let me say this for the millionth time. Animation IS a film MEDIUM. A MEDIUM is the process/tools used to tell a story. Live action is a MEDIUM. Animation is NOT a GENRE. A genre is the type/category of story being told. Horror is a GENRE. Animation can be a MEDIUM used in ANY GENRE of film.

Haha yes! Hugo was a minor character, featured in 3 episodes out of 100+. He didn't have a line in all of S4 and technically S3 too since Lord of the Rink was produced as the last ep of S2. All the suggestions for bringing him back are romantic in nature & the show isn't about that. Sofia's a kid.

Exactly! Something is always off with AI. We haven't used any AI in our design, writing, boarding or animation process. I'm actually very proud of the look, which is approaching feature quality in certain aspects. We still can't afford a full Disney feature look but it's closer than ever.

The worst in my opinion are those accusing it of being AI. It's A. NOT TRUE and B. only harms real artists if people can't tell real art from A. It is a different, more modern style. Yes, I love the old one. But I am slowly getting used to the new one. It's different, not automatically bad.
Ug, made the mistake of going on facebook instead of going to bed. Can't sleep. It's literally nothing but hate in every comment I read on everything. I can't stand hate, and people who cause hate. I don't get the mind set. Why would you choose to be that way? It's easier to just... not hate.

I read the article and yeah, while I'm a little sad we won't be getting more lore-focused eps like in S3-4, I still think the show's gonna be cute and lighthearted. I'm still lowkey hoping for an Elena of Avalor-style revival of Sofia focusing more on the action, but that's only if Disney allows it.

the lesson to be learned here is that when you let artists and creatives cook, instead of doing everything possible to increase shareholder returns, you get creative art that becomes immortal and inspires everyone!! you will always fall short when you don't trust the artists to do what they do best
