Clearly I have been falling down on the job - y’all haven’t gotten a dose of ENCHIRITO EAR WIGGLES. Sorry about the camera shake, hard to film one-handed
Moths in a human suit (they/them)
@lycomorpha.bsky.social
A collection of moths trying to cosplay a human interdisciplinary artist. MedSci escapee, always drawing or making paint. In my chaos-bisexual-enby-hag era. Moths, paint-making, disability, & art sh*t-posting. lycomorpha.etsy.com & mothsinahumansuit.uk

It’s not your fault you’re disabled. It’s not your fault you’re chronically ill. It’s not your fault you’re living in poverty, lacking health insurance, homeless or unemployed. The billionaire class wants us to believe these are moral failings so they don’t have to help people. We should help.
My fkn goodness I got so heat-sick this aft, friends. It's 2am & I'm just about recovered! Honestly thought I was getting good at avoiding shit like this, but here we are. 🙃 A reminder to look out for each other as much as we're able, esp my spoonie people. Gotta check in when we can, eh? Whew. 💖
"But my nostalgia! But my favorite morning word game! But this mid video game! But my sport! But my chicken sandwich!" Hey, real quick, what ARE you willing to give up to not support our oppressors?
One tree had a bunch of these enormous Pseudosphinx tetrio caterpillars on it. They are super large!
Busy bumblebee digging a nest hole in the ground under the moth trap shelter! I guess because it's shaded there, maybe the soil isn't so baked hard. 🐝
Hey crafty hive mind, help pls! 🙏 Does anyone here know of anyone or have any resources on using okra mucus in paper-making? Specifically using it as a formation aid and/or in sizing/coating? Thanks friends 💖

ISTG my phone/accessibility apps are trolling me on purpose. Just told me i was typing in Norwegian & immediately switched to... AZERTY keyboard layout. 🙃🤦 What the crispy air-fried fuck, little phone?
I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful
I'm just struggling to imagine what a non-misinformation use case would even be. Like, it's Google Earth, you don't use it for book illustrations or profile pics or PowerPoint presentations or any of the other reasons people claim "but I NEED this LLM!"
New from 404 Media: Google Earth has introduced an AI feature that lets anyone fabricate completely bullshit satellite images. In our own tests, we added a “bomb blast and crater” to an area of Los Angeles. This is a misinformation time bomb, will 100% be abused www.404media.co/google-earth...
Had the luxury of a nice few hours at this today. If it looks like slow going, it is! & That's why I use watercolour so often under pencils to speed things up. But I'm loving being able to do all these layers in pencil, a real joy. 😌 Also started a bit of the subtractive shading on the faded leaves
Red-shouldered pine borer (Stictoleptura canadensis), Montana. The larvae of these attractive beetles eat dead or decaying wood; adults feed in flowers. I like the fancy antennae, and that the pitted texture of the elytra make the red "shoulders" look like the surface of a strawberry. 🐙🌿📷 #BugSky
well... we looked we're like at like 40% of "break even on bills" for the month oh god.
it's ✨Shameless Self Promotion Saturday✨... again it's been a "seriously too nervous to look at the shop analytics, because bad numbers aren't real until you actually look at them" month going to try and just enjoy being away from TX for a week we love you all
One of the first cool guys we found was this jumping spider, which looked very much like a pseudoscorpion. I found him crawling on my leg while we were eating lunch under a mango tree.
My drawing gloves are from @bibiblossoms.bsky.social online store as always 💖

keep thinking about the evil of this. It's not just destroying the physical books, bad as that is. They are trying to remove the underpinnings of knowledge, destroy all the accumulated wisdom - and silliness, and creativity, and whatever else humans have thought worthy of writing down.
No longer content with pillaging intellectual work and dismembering our environment (already critically weakened), AI companies are now hellbent on destroying books galore including rare editions. Shut down these nefarious enterprises already.
An underreported part of UK Transphobe Lawfare™ is that when they lose, they just... say they won. For all the regrettable sway they do have in courts/govt etc, their real power is in the press. So if they lose, they just pretend they didn't and their press friends print the lie. It's ubiquitous.
Women's Rights Network/Sex Matters took Feile to court to have their event reinstated. It was not reinstated. The two statements released after an agreement was reached give two very different impressions of what happened today in Belfast's High Court.
Over 25,000 people are into the website enough to get sent some newsletters and read 6 blogs every month. Converting just 1000-2000 of them into regular paying subs transforms the business! If that's you, try it out this month for just $1! aftermath.site/aftermath-su...
As of right now we have 26,205 'free' members. If that's you there's never been a better time to upgrade and try a full subscription! It's just $1! If only 1000-2000 of those free members converted, this website would change forever. aftermath.site/aftermath-su...
Bloody hell, have Labour started talking to disabled people?? Burnham says any move to allow assisted dying should not happen until the government funds better social and palliative care.
It’s a relief to see Burnham - with help from Ed Davey and the Lib Dems - mentioning social care fees paid by disabled people. Politicians and media focus on the elderly with assets but any review must also address the poverty-inducing fees forced on working age disabled people by local councils.
Did you know you can get 50 meticulously drawn insect postcards for just £30? That's... *does the maths* ...cheap. www.etsy.com/uk/listing/6...
Once again someone has bought these colours together in my store, & gahdammit, I'm gonna have to build a set around them because... (gestures wildly in the general direvtion)
If you're taking pictures of other people in public bathrooms, you're a predator. And heaven cannot help you if you take a picture of my daughter in the bathroom, I promise you that.
