on two occasions I have run into a dude who went with the "I identify as a woman" thing because he thinks its really funny and my learning has been that if you take his word for it and start calling him a woman he stops finding it funny in about 1 second and starts getting upset & so you don't stop
Ridiculous, counterproductive, etc. I’m not a public health expert by any means, but I interact with enough Fentanyl addicts and their families to know how helpful things like this are for preventing more ODs. Yet another “we want to criminalize and kill people” move from Trump & Co.

Sister Letty was detained by ICE in Texas in June while walking to church. She was later released, but after her asylum claim was denied, she’s still facing deportation. Even though she has a valid work permit, ICE is still trying to deport a literal nun.

if i told you how much money my partner and i have spent on dealing with our ABSOLUTELY UNHINGED former landlord (lawyer fees, court fees, printing fees, moving fees) you would be very angry. unlucky for them i am v stubborn and will fight this to the end. our small claims court date is august 10.

From 2003 to 2024, the number of children 17-years and under killed by US law enforcement each year increased from 8 per year (0.01 per 100 000 person-years) to 37 per year (0.05 per 100 000 person-years), noticeably outpacing the significant increases in all annual deaths caused by law enforcement.
