Back in the saddle again. Commissions are finished, SDCC is over, time to work on my own projects for a bit before the next convention. I hope to get all of this done for SVP in November, which is my last convention of the year. Next year I’ll be focusing on writing stories and making books.

The sky is still filled with smoke. I am still unable to go outside. I have seen no birds. One day it dropped to high moderate, so I went and stared at the river for a bit—the water had dropped substantially and I hadn’t marked its progression. Surreal. It is a ceaseless fugue.

My Sony a350 arrived today, and all functions appear to be in order on a cursory glance over, but the rubber has the very distinct odor of an elderly person's home circa 1990 who has perhaps boiled a lot of beef and chain smoked for 50 years inside.

I love evenings where I dip into the Sims for a brief check in. The family of all clowns just got completely wrekt when one of them was abducted by aliens, impregnated, and then birthed an alien clown baby. Unhinged. Hilarious. 10/10 Sims behavior.

I have two (also not including the ADHD diagnosis), and similarly would rather eat my boot. 😃

YES. i have THREE (count em! THREE!) medical disorders that actually cause diminished dopamine but you won't catch me talkin about it like it's some magical essence

I see a lot of you talking about "dopamine" and I wish you'd go back to talking about your astrological signs because at least then you wouldn't be confusing yourself about a real thing

I have a gollum jade plant that I named Potato specifically because Gollum was so offended by potatoes and Samwise's stew just to make myself chuckle every time I have to water it. Guess what, it worked. 😌

I'd not encountered Fasulo, and this pattern of coopting progressive language/concerns about environmental impacts was surprising. I went to Insta to see if anyone I know follows her (no shame), and several people do. I think genuine concern is being manipulated here. Appreciate Heated, as usual!

Fasulo’s anti-solar rhetoric can sound progressive: anti-corporate and pro-environment. But past social media posts reveal fierce loyalty to Trump and right-wing conspiracies. And when HEATED asked whether fossil fuels cause climate change, she would not answer.
