To look for timeless lessons, contrarian opinions (e.g. comments), language design (Kolence's quote - defining a program as data transformations rather than instruction sequences - hints at Rust's data-first, traits-over-OOP philosophy), etc. 💡

Human to IDE... I started programming before *syntax highlighting* was even a thing, let alone modern IDEs. Using an IDE would have been considered 'cheating' back then. You people have no concept of the history of software development.
