I am a journalist and author of six books, including Precarious: The Lives of Migrant Workers, Driven: The Secret Life of Taxi Drivers, and Pay No Heed to the Rockets: Palestine in the Present Tense.🍉🇵🇸

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

I will reiterate: Christians in the West evangelize in public for the same reason men catcall. Neither is trying to persuade you; both are reminding you that the public sphere belongs to them and you exist in it at their sufferance.

I recently wrote a profile of a West African kid who tried to storm Cueta, right before the last big massacre of migrants there. As I observed, much of this could be prevented (and has been before) with a return to pre-2000s visa policies www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/arti...

I spent an afternoon in a parking lot off 16th avenue with a man who told me that if Alberta doesn't separate he will be happy to drift off and die. He is a leading fundraiser for independence. He also has a hidden history. www.thestar.com/opinion/star...

Richard Warnica: He’s one of the leading fundraisers for the Alberta independence movement. He also has a hidden past

Robert Deer has pledged his life to Alberta independence, but also has a past many would find surprising.

Back in January, I listened to the turnips at an independence rally claim that they would get a million signatures. Rath blurted he wanted 1.8-million. They got 222,000, less than what they needed to trigger a referendum before Smith obediently lowered the number. How embarrassing.

Enten on the 67 point swing (!!!) against Israel among Americans: "We're not just talking about the Democratic base anymore. The general electorate has turned against Israel. This is not just a left issue. It's an American issue. The trend line is unbelievable."

Alberta hasn't banned US alcohol imports. People here aren't buying it anyways. The debate over whether provincial governments should be banning it misses the actual point, which is that Canadians don't want to buy it in the first place. #cdnpoli

This fuckface was just on Facebook yesterday whining about Heather MacPherson showing off her new "Fuck your fascist pancakes" coffee mug calling her a classless idiot for tacitly supporting that message. Cory Morgan can take disingenuous pompous self important ass and go fuck himself. #ABPoli

My favourite thing about Haaland is that he spent 1.3 million Norwegian kroner of his football money on a rare 1594 edition of Viking chronicles - a record book sale for Norway - and then donated it to his regional library. www.reuters.com/lifestyle/ha...

It's awkward because seppies have had their brains cooked by propaganda, they're misinformed, they've been influenced by the wrong people, they're fools, or some combination of these. There's nothing you can say to them that will change their minds. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
