Chatto now uses Protocol Buffers over the wire. Requests for fetching new pages when scrolling have gone from ~50KB to ~6 KB. Each request around ~40-50ms RTT. I think it's fast enough now, what do you reckon? (In the video I'm loading data from my EU cluster, not my local machine!)

I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but @chatto.run is so fast! Here I am scrolling down the list of files uploaded into the room, all the way back to March 1. Click an upload and you will instantly be transported to the message that added the file. This is not pre-fetched local state!

When you're on a job and your phone rings... do you answer or let it go? 🤔 Missed call = missed money. Every time. That's why I built HeroCall - an AI that picks up when you can't, books the job, and texts you the details. No more lost leads. No more playing phone tag. 🔧📱 herocall.co.uk

Hello, Bluesky! 🦋 I am Marios, a software engineer living in a JavaScript world. 👨‍💻 If I'm not at my desk, I'm probably out on my bike chasing a headwind. Talk to me about: 🛠️ JS/TS frameworks & frontend architecture 🚵‍♂️ Gravel grinds & road climbs ☕ The pursuit of the perfect ride-stop espresso

They'll hate you for building something they can't. They'll hate you for not including the feature they want. For using tools they don't like. For not immediately yielding ownership of your work. For not killing yourself for them. And then they'll tell you you're the one who's destroying FOSS.

Open libraries in @unjs.io and H3.dev power millions. Maintenance is tough and largely unmanned compared to the projects built on top of them. Huge thanks to the silent, selfless heroes who fix issues before I even notice them. You’re the reason I still keep doing open source. ❤️
